I bought my new pony in Feb this year when I bought him I was told he did rub in the summer months. As soon as April arrived he did begin itching I bought him a sweet itch snuggy hood for the stable and a boett rug for the field. These worked OK while the weather was not too hot but when the weather turned he was rubbing through the hoods and his mane was coming out onto the hood. When I was changing his rugs he would scratch as soon as they were off and excessively roll to itch. He started rubbing on the side of the stable so I put him bars up but he then stressed out and went very run up and with him been a show animal he needs his weight. I had tried other products on the market and they did not really help at all. My poor pony was constantly itching on the floor, up the wall, in the grass, on the hay net and on the door I felt so sorry for him as he was stressed with the itching!!!!! I rang Dawn up to see if she knew of anything to help. Originally she sent me a bar of soap I washed his mane that day and it worked really well I was so impressed!! The only problem was as his sweet itch is so bad I would have had to wash his mane twice a day and as you can imagine this is not really ideal. So I rang Dawn back and she told me to try the lotion. I was absolutely amazed with the results!! I put it on that night under his hood and he did not touch his mane for the first time he was relaxed and calm. When I changed his rug he did not even try to itch I have taken his bars off which settles him and he is now putting the weight back on so a brill result all round! I have used the soap and cream for weeks now and it is great!! I left my friend to do it the other night and she forgot!!! When I arrived in the morning he had rubbed his mane a bit I was gutted!! I put it on straight away and it was an instant relief and he has not touched it since.

Dawn has been part of our team for this season keeping 'In To Win' in great physical shape both before and after his runs. I feel massage has been beneficial to him as he has been tight in muscular areas because of the nature of point to point racing .

George is a 10yr old dales Pony who last year became very fat, due to
unforeseen circumstances I as unable to ride him. As time went by I started
to ride him but as the fat became less he was not moving as he should , a
friend thought his back was the trouble , so a back man came and only
found slight tension, he proceeded to do the flexion test on him, and
that was when things went from bad to worse. He would not let me pick his
off hind leg up, my blacksmith came and took off his shoes with great
difficulty, the vet came the following day but found nothing, a course of
bute was proscribed, both the blacksmith and the vet said it was all in
his head. We rode out occasionally but he is flat footed so every stone or
uneven ground he walked on made him stumble.
Then another friend suggested an Equine Body worker by the name of Dawn
Clow, she had used Dawn on her Cleveland Bay as she has tight muscles.
I rang Dawn she came and gave George a through going over from nose to
tail, he had slight tension on his neck and back, I told her everything
that had happed to him, she said it appeared that his groin had been pulled
when he had the flexion test done , so every time I tried to lift his leg
he though it would hurt him. Dawn gave him a full body massage which
chilled him out completely. Dawn also showed me how to massage his
groin area and within a couple of weeks I was able to pick his foot up and
clean it out, something I had not done for some months. My blacksmith came
a month after and got his back shoes on him, and George well he is back to
his old self and moves how a Dales should.

I would highly recommend Dawn not just for injuries, but to give your
Horse/Pony a good pampering, we humans treat ourselves to a massage so why
not our equines. so if your equine deserves a pampering or if you feel
something's not quite right then give Dawn a call you will be amazed, and
your equine will love it.

"Hi Dawn, Just a note regarding your shampoo bar. I bought it for my pony who suffers with sweet itch quite badly and has to wear a rug 24/7. I bought the sweet itch bar and its great! My pony has very sensitive skin and I use this shampoo everyday in the warm weather to remove his stable stains and keep him clean so as not to attract as many flies. Its fantastic, it gets rid of the stains and is very easy to rinse out and doesn't leave a nasty residue.
I have also used it to give him a full bath for shows. Its gets his mane and tail incredibly white and his coat feels great after use. It lasts for ages and is great value for money. Thanks for a brilliant product that works without upsetting my horses skin.
