THE PRACTITIONER
Dawn
Clow is an Equine Body Worker who provides a holistic therapy that supports you
and your horse through informed analysis and the practical utilization of
therapeutic sports massage her work incorporates acupressure, myofascia release and
reiki as and when
appropriate. Her work
primarily targets musculo-skeletal problems in Horses, qualifying with an Equine
Sports Massage Foundation Certification Course, that included applied anatomy,
subjective conformation and gait analysis, an introduction to dental issues and an
introduction to saddle fitting issues. Dawn is
able to offer a treatment that incorporates, soft tissue manipulation,
stretching exercises, advice on future rehabilitation programs and every day
management issues as well as behavioral problems. Dawn
trained with the world renowned Debranne Pattillo AEBW, ESMT founder and
President of the company Equinology Inc; with Nicole Rombrach, through
Equinenergy Ltd United Kingdom / Dawn
has a VTCT Diploma in Human Anatomy and Physiology, Swedish Massage,
Aromatherapy and Indian Head Massage from Dawn is level II Reiki attuned through Reiki
Master Nikki Thurlow and Masters Jean
Stead and Linda Roberts in In
August 2004 Dawn worked alongside Reiki Master

Therapy Dawn is a therapist who
offers a unique approach for horses. Her in depth training in a range of
complementary therapies means that her knowledge and understanding of bodywork
is completely supportive of her understanding the dynamics of the individual
horse. And all this is combined with her love, compassion and enjoyment of every
horse that she meets is amazing results.
A change of career or is it a case of finding the right path. Dawn has always had an affinity with horses. She began her riding career at the age of 4 years at The Fulmer School of Equitation. She progressed in most disciplines to intermediate level, at local and county shows. At the age of 14 she finally persuaded reluctant parents to buy her a horse. At 18 Dawn parted with her own horse to study Fine Art, and then to pursue a teaching career. Her contact with horses has been maintained through lessons, and BHS courses at various establishments, through friends, equestrian events and riding holidays around the world. Her
return to working with horses has been her destiny, Dawn
continues to study many different methods, put forward by horsemen & women
from all over the world. Dawn has
encompassed many of these methods and added much of her own knowledge and
experience The
methods she uses are well proven and she always likes to involve the owner so
that the work may be continued. Working
alongside other professionals If you decide to ask Dawn to help you and your horse you will be sure of honest opinions, methods that work and an array of new techniques to add to your daily horse management skills. She prides herself on working along side veterinarians, chiropractor’s, dentists, behavioral natural horsemanship practitioners, farriers and many other equine professionals. Referring horses on if she believes the issue is best dealt with by another professional.
